Government Rural Polytechnic Thalnadi is a technical education institute located in district Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. Established in 1987, the institute is affiliated from Uttarakhand Technical Education Board, Roorkee and All India Council For Technical Education(AICTE), New Delhi.

The Diploma of Engineering Studies aims to provide students with the ability to communicate effectively in Hindi & English, a sound Knowledge of basic engineering, scientific, computing and mathematical techniques, a knowledge & skills in one of the following fields: Electronics Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Electronics Engineering course was running in Government Polytechnic Srinagar, Pauri Garhwal from the beginning due to lack of facilities in Government Rural Polytechnic Thalnadi but currently running in Thalnadi.
